I’m gonna post something i saw on a friends but i figure it’s a good way to ease in to this.

1. The Answer to Our Life by the Backstreet Boys : wow, this is sooo old school, it makes me think of gradeschool and lusting over nick carter, they were my first concert and I still have a weak spot for BSB. TOUR IN JUNE woo hoo :P
2. 40 oz to Freedom - Sublime : Reminds me of one of my old best friends
3. Try to remember, forget - Say Anything : Makes me think of low point in my life and be happy that i’ve found my way to the best version of my life and the love of my life.. it’s a great song though and i can feel the sadness behind it
4. Jessie and my Whetstone - Saves the Day : My first real show was saves the day and it was a huge landmark in my life, one of my favorite bands to this day. It makes me smile listening to them and thinking back to the first time i saw them live and how incredible and exhilirating live music is to me. one of the best days of my life. ~ Please come dive in puddles with me
5. Pretty Down to your Bones - The Hush Sound : The Hush Sound is on hiatus :( i love them so much. If i ever start a music project I want to kidnap Bob Morris and make him sing with me <3 so incredible
6. You’re All I Want - Lifehouse: This song is completely gorgeous and makes me cry when i listen to it, it makes me think of my future husband and how lucky i am to have found someone as incredible as him. (We will dance to this at our wedding as part of a medley, we’ve decided <3)
7. Everythings Too Cold, but you’re so Hot - The Early November : One of my favorite bands (from NJ) saw them live about 7 times and they are were so good, wish they were still together.
8. Fever for the Flavor - Hot Action Cop : the first song i heard this song i was in shock (oh my innocence :P) it reminds me of that movie grind lol
9. Burn Rubber - Bright Eyes : this song reminds me of one of my best friends in high school Erin, she got me tickets to see bright eyes for christmas one year. Seriously one of my favorite bands of all times, I still believe Conor Oberst is the Bob Dylan of my generation..
10. Art is Hard - Cursive : Cursive is amazing and completely underrated, this song is so clever and awesome.
11. I want to save you - Something Corporate : One of the first non-pop bands i started listening to when middle school started when my best friend at the times older sister used to drive us around.. got me hooked on Drive-Thru records bands <3 changed my life for the better i guarantee.
12. Better - Regina Spektor : One of my co-workers and friends Mary K introduced me to Regina a few years ago, one of the faves of course, her music is beautiful, funny, and sometimes insane.
13. Prayer of the Refugee - Rise Against : Also one of the best bands writing wise and they stay true to themselves, probably the majority of punk rock that is left in the music industry is right here, good for them
14. Masterpiece - Bayside - One of the first songs I heard by Bayside, i’ve been a fan ever since. Makes me think of an old friend too :/ how life changes so fast and people forget you
15. Canvas - Imogen Heap : She completely amazes me and inspires me. After being dropped off her record label she produced, mastered and funded her entire album Speak for yourself by herself, It sold tons of copies and the label that dropped her wanted her back on her own terms.. impressive

17. Oh Sailor - Fiona Apple : Unfortunately Fiona Apple reminds me of auditioning for Berklee College of Music.. and not getting accepted, yes i get my hopes up wayyyy too high..
18. I’m Doing Everything For You : The Rocket Summer - He is so fun live and incredibly talented. I love the Rocket Summer.. it reminds me of my friend Katy.. I don’t really know why
19. The No Seat Belt Song - Brand New : One of my favorite bands of all time. (it’s getting so late i am having trouble writing coherently but here it goes) Brand new has transitioned so much from when this album came out.. Love songs to losing faith in a god who you have seen nothing promising from.. I had a similar occurence when i lost one of the closest people to me, my grandpa.. I can listen to The Devil and God are Raging Inside me and feel like somebody knows how i feel and it’s a little comforting.. yet tragic. So everything from falling in love.. getting your heart broken to Losing something that once meant something to you..
20. Cut Up Angels - The Used : Getting some free tickets from a friend to see A Taste of Chaos tour and playing Bingo with Bert McCracken.. the fastest game i have ever experienced.. it was a fun experience though, i was star struck that night.. I even got to touch Jared Leto haha i had to hold back “I wanted to Destroy Something Beautiful..” - (fight club)
Well anyways, this was my first post.. maybe you can get a snippet of what music makes my gears turn, although there is soooo much more.
